Privacy notice

What Guardian Emergency Response collects through this website, where it goes and how to ask us to delete it.

What we collect

We only collect what you type or attach in one of our forms:

• Booking request (/book/): your name, mobile phone, email (optional), the property’s street address, city and postal code (optional), whether you are the owner, tenant or property manager, the type of damage, how urgent it is, your description (optional), your insurance company’s name (optional) and up to 3 photos of the damage (optional).
• Contact form: your name, phone, address, type of emergency, email and message.
• Insurance adjuster form: the adjuster’s name, company, phone and email, plus the claim number, insured’s name, loss address, type and date of loss, preferred contact method and notes.
• Referral code: if you arrived through a partner’s link (for example ?ref=ABC123), the code is kept in your browser for that tab only and sent with your request so we know who referred you. We do not send your details to the partner.

We don’t ask for policy numbers, lockbox or alarm codes, or payment details online. Please don’t include them in a message.

Where it goes

• Netlify, which hosts this website, receives and stores form submissions and any photos you attach. Netlify also records technical details such as your IP address and browser type. Netlify is a US company, so your information may be stored outside Canada.
• A copy of each submission can be emailed to our business inbox, which is hosted by Google (Gmail).
• If you ask us to work with your insurer or adjuster, we share the details needed for your claim with them.

We don’t sell your information or use it for advertising.

Cookies and other services

Our own pages don’t set cookies. To show the site, your browser also loads fonts from Google Fonts and a Google News script on every page, map files and tiles on pages with a map, and, on the Response ETA page, an address lookup and route service. Those providers receive your IP address when your browser contacts them.

How long we keep it

We keep requests only as long as we need them to respond to you, handle any job and insurance claim, and meet our record-keeping obligations.

See, correct or delete your information

To ask what we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, email hello@guardianemergency.ca or call 647-278-2494. Tell us the name and phone number you used and, if you have it, your request reference (it starts with “GR-”). We’ll confirm once it’s done.
